Welcome to the St Christopher Club

This website is for all those who were pupils or staff at St Christopher School, Letchworth, Herts, UK.

The aim of the club is to keep people in touch, by means of newsletters and reunions. We print a couple of "newsletters" (actually A5 booklets of some 40 pages) each year, and welcome contributions from old scholars. These are sent out to subscribers. To find out more, please click on newsletters.

You can now pay your St Christopher Club subscription online via Paypal.   Find out more.

The summer's reunion in 2005 celebrated the ninetieth anniversary of the school, and we mailed to all those for whom we had a current address from the time of Nicholas King Harris or before. In 2004, when Colin Reid retired, we mailed to all those who were at St Chris from the 1980s until the present. If you did not hear from us in 2004 or 2005 it is probably because we have no current address for you. Please contact the club and let us know your whereabouts.

We advise our old scholars to join Friends Reunited (www.friendsreunited.co.uk). A thousand or more old scholars from St Chris are listed there. But also keep us in touch with where you are and what your are doing. We have several thousand addresses on our records, and we can also put you in touch with other old scholars.

The club organises a reunion weekend in July each year, and more recent old scholars visit to play school teams at football and netball in March each year. The next summer reunion will be on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July 2008.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of any of the following? In each case we have had enquiries from contemporaries who would like to get in touch with them.

Andrew Torrie (1959-64)
Alice Herbert (1961-67)
William Barnes (1961-66)
If you know the whereabouts of any of these please ask them to contact us.

The Club is keen to collect memorabilia from earlier years. If you have school magazines, programmes for events, photographs, any sort of ephemera from your schooldays that you no longer wish to keep, we would be very glad to add to our collection.
